intermural rate
(Adjective) A commonly misused and rare word meaning "between walls" or even "between cities or institutions"; what is usually meant is "intramural", meaning within a certain geographical area, e.g. school district, county, etc. One might consider use of the word "intermural" to broaden "intramural" to cover an unrestricted geographic area, e.g. between ANY two schools or institutions, although this usage seems to be more by accident than intention.
Usage: My cousin plays on an intramural soccer league for schools in the Windsor district. Each game played in the intramural league is an intermural game, i.e. it is between two schools. The lockers at his school are installed in the intermural space between the new and old buildings.
