Definition
Early-20 th century euphemism for falsies, a pair of pads worn inside a brassiere to give the impression of larger breasts. This term is used by Amanda Wingfield (Joanne Woodward) when stuffing her daughter Laura's (Karen Allen) bosom with ' gay deceivers ' to set a trap for the ' gentleman caller ' coming to supper in The Glass Menagerie (1987).Synonyms: falsies; pads; props.
