politics ain't beanbag

politics ain't beanbag rate
(Expression) We're talking "serious/the rough-and-tumble" here, not the old-time, lighthearted children's game. Extended to similar usages: "Investing ain't beanbag," "professional tennis ain't beanbag," etc.
Usage: Mitt Romney always said "beanbags," presumably because he was utterly clueless about what a beanbag was and what the expression meant.
