(Noun) The personnel of the United States Air Force who were members of the Aerospace Defense Command (ADCOM) and were transferred to the new Air Defense Tactical Air Command, a subordinate command of the Tactical Air Command, when the Aerospace Defense Command was discontinued.Usage: ADCOM personnel felt slighted when their unit was discontinued, so they referred to themselves as "Skewered Ducks" instead of "Fighting Eagles."
