woman-on-top position

Definition

A generic name for any sexual position in which the man lies on his back and the woman lowers herself onto his erect penis. In this position, a woman can regulate the depth of penetration of the penis and the rate of thrusting. This position can be achieved by the woman lowering herself on the man or by the couple rolling over from a man-on-top or side-by-side positions. In this position both people can move their hands more freely and they can also see more of each other. In the about face variations, the woman faces the man's feet.
Also known as man-below position, in distinction to man-above position or man-on-top position.
