(Expression) Refers to old clothes washing machines which had a water wringer on the side of washtub, consisting of two cylinders, between which the laundry was wrung out.
Therefore to get ones "tit caught in the wringer" is to get in a bind.
This a real reference, as I have heard stories from family about this actually occuring.

Usage: as a warning, "Don't get your tit in the wringer".
