Loch Ness Monster

Definitions

Loch Ness Monster rate
(Noun) A dinosaur-like, mysterious/possibly even mythical, aquatic creature. No such creature has ever been "found" to everyone's satisfaction, though alleged sightings are very numerous.
Usage: The Loch Ness Monster ("Nessie," familiarly) is often a jocular subject. E.g., "Directions for capturing the Loch Ness Monster: take 50 million packages of Jell-O ... ."

Loch Ness Monster rate
(Noun) A group of perhaps Plesiosaur-like aquatic creatures that are alleged to have survived from around the Jurassic Age (150-200 million years ago) to the present. Said to inhabit Loch Ness Scotland, and several other sites throughout the globe.
Usage: The Loch Ness Monster should actually be plural - because if there was no breeding, we'd have something a bit longer-lived than usual.

Loch Ness Monster rate
(Noun) A dinosaur believed to lurk within the waters of Lake Ness. In the United Kingdom.
Usage: Did you see the Loch Ness Monster lift it's head out of the water?
