Usage: If you really have nothing to say, being discursive isn't going to make you look any smarter, kind of like my best friend who was changing subjects when presenting in front of his class yesterday... He had nothing to say, but what is there to say about the biography of Shakespeare anyway? He's just a poet... with words only really intelligent people can understand...
