Definition

Bellows rate
(Noun) (Miscellaneous Technologies / Photography) Photog a telescopic continuously adjustable light-tight sleeve, with no optical components, fitted between the camera body and the lens, used in macro and close-up photography. The further the lens is from the film or sensor, the closer the focusing distance, the greater the magnification.
Usage: In macro photography, the distance between the lens and the film or sensor of the camera body can be extended by inserting either extension tubes or a continuously adjustable bellows.
